Manually Printed Work Orders outside SAP

Hi SAP PM experts,

We have been using SAP PM now for printing preventive maintenance orders with our facilities based on frequencies (M,SA,A,Q).

However, we have facilities/functional locations with incomplete equipments inside, and some equipments also has no maintenance plans attached to them.

With this at hand, we have to continuously correct this issue of having these equipments that were not maintained because they don't have a maintenance schedule in place or the equipment is not uploaded at all.

So, this is our temporary workaround.

We have a document in .doc/.docx format of the same interface with the task sheet being printed from SAP, which we do as "manual task sheet" just for the equipment to be maintained.

My question is, is it possible that a task sheet not printed from SAP can be uploaded and TECO'D / Technically Complete even if it was not printed (CRTD), and/or released (REL) in SAP PM?

Because based from my understanding, the business process is like this.

(CRTD -> REL -> TECO)

(Created -> Released -> Technically Complete)

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Chris,

Your understanding is right. However you could develop a custom program which creates the order and goes through the steps (Crtd, rel,teco,cmpl).

Other options to consider are creating this as a historical order or creating this as a Notiifcation.

Hi Narasimhan Venugopal,

Thanks for the reply. I'll now be playing with the options you stated and observe what would best work for us.
