Error when trying to log into RSP Agent Console

Former Member

Hi all,

When I try to log into RSP Agent Console, i get an error message that reads:

"An Error has occurred. Check the log file for details"

Where can I find this log file?

Could this be related to the SQL version? (SQL Server 2008 R2 Express)

Any other ideas of what may cause this error?

Regards,

Rikard Korff

Hi Gordon,

I have checked the links, but none of these cases are related to the issue I am experiencing.

As a start, please can anyone confirm if RSP should be able to run on SQL Server 2008 R2 Express?

The RSP documentation only states that it supports SQL Server 2008. It does not specifically mention R2.

Is R2 implied or does this mean that it is incompatible?

R2 should be ok but Express may be not. There are too many restriction for this version.

Hi,

I have set up a test system with SQL Server 2008 R2 Express and I am having no problems logging into the RSP Agent Console.

Do you have any other ideas of what could cause the error I am receiving?

Maybe if you could direct me on where to find the Log File for the RSP Agent Console (not the service), this may help me identify the problem.

The RSP logs are at C:\Program Files\SAP\Remote support platform for SAP Business One\Logs

Hope this helps

Hi,

There are no console logins or failed login attempts in these log files.

Is this a RSP bug, or are we looking in the wrong places?

Hi Rikard,

Which RSP version are you talking about? 2.1. or 2.3?

Thanks & regards
