Buffering of table T510 - payroll

Hello gurus,

I have a question concerning the buffering of the table T510. By standard this table has buffering switched on, but this setting has been problem for our Payroll department. When payroll administrator changes WT value for payroll releasing the change is not propagated promptly to all servers on a single client at production system. This kind of behaving of production system produces bad payroll release because the WT has old value as input parameter. The duration of payroll process is about 2 hours long and it is great waste of time if they have to release it again because of 2-minutes buffering interval. By your opinion, which of these variants are the best as a solution for our company:

  • Set No buffering allowed - We are not sure about consequences concerning that this table is not in customers tablespaces.
  • Changing rdisp/bufreftime to smaller value
  • 2-minute break for administrator after parameter change

Funny as it sounds we are now at 3rd option. Better 2-minute break than 2-hour repeating.

Respectfully,

Igor Nikoli?
