Hello together,

can anybody help us to understand what is the meaning of the following error messages in the import monitor. We receive this data when we load it from the SAP Sales Cloud to the SAP Marketing Cloud (Release 1902)

Marketing permissions not updated. Timestamp 09/07/2017T00:00:00 is outdated for PHONE +4949494949494 -> Shall we deliver all messages wiht a current timestamp?

Contact with ID &1 does not have ID &2 -> If we deliver a contact an ID Origin with another one why this message?

ID &1 of contact with ID &2 is obsolete or flagged for deletion -> We dont have obsolete contacts in our system. What is the meaning of this message?

ID &1 is obsolete or flagged for deletion -> What would be the meaning? As described above no contacts currently are flagged for deletion.

No contact found for ID &1 -> If we deliver a contact and contact does not exist a new contact shall be created.

Are these messages somewhere described?

Hi guys,

based on your feedback here, we're planning to improve the corresponding messages with more details. See below. If all goes well, this might come 1911.

=========================

[ CUAN_MKT_PERM 042 ] Marketing permissions were not updated. Timestamp 09/07/2017T00:00:00 is outdated for PHONE +4949494949494.

The marketing permission timestamp should reflect the date when the permission was given.

The date of the marketing permission you imported is older than the date of the corresponding marketing permission in the system.

The marketing permission was not updated as a result.

=========================

[ CUAN_IC 318 ] Contact with ID &1 does not have ID &2. Therefore no exact match was found.

The imported data refers to a contact to be found via 2 IDs (ID &1 and ID &2).

The system found a contact that has the first ID but not the second ID. Therefore this contact was not considered to be the correct one.

A valid matching contact must have all IDs provided.

=========================

[ CUAN_IC 314 ] ID &1 of contact with ID &2 iseitherobsolete or flagged for deletion.
The imported data refers to a contact to be found via 2 IDs (ID &1 and ID &2). The system found a contact that has both IDs, but one of the IDs (ID &1) is either obsolete, that is, deleted in the source system, or has been flagged for deletion in SAP Marketing Cloud. Note that the contact itself is not necessarily obsolete or flagged for deletion.

A valid matching contact will only be found if the IDs provided are active. They cannot be obsolete or flagged for deletion.

=========================

[ CUAN_IC 312 ] ID &1 is obsolete or flagged for deletion.

The imported data refers to a contact to be found via 2 IDs. The system found 1 contact that has the ID that is considered to have the best matching potential. However this ID is obsolete, that is, deleted in the source system, or has been flagged for deletion in SAP Marketing Cloud. Note that the contact itself is not necessarily obsolete or flagged for deletion.

=========================

[ CUAN_IC 315 ] No contact was found for ID &1.

The imported data refers to a contact to be found via 2 IDs. However no contact could be found with the ID that is considered to have the best matching potential. In other words, no contact exists so far with this ID.

You are attempting to import contact-dependent objects for which a contact could not yet be found.

  • If you are importing data in synchronous mode (ForceSynchronousProcessing set to true), either reset the flag to false to import via the staging area, or try again later.
  • If you are importing data in asynchronous mode, the system will automatically try the import later.

=========================

Best regards,

Nico
