Create sales employee for business partner in 1809

Greeting,

I am in a project which implementing S/4HANA On premise 1809 and I'd like to create employee no for sales employee(Partner function: SE) for business partner, however, I always get error message as below:

Personnel master record 00000004 does not exist

Message no. F2653

My steps as below:

1. Create master data with t-code: PA30.

2. Create Sales Representative with t-code: PAL1(VPE1).

3. Assign sales org. with t-code: PAL3(VPE2).

4. Assign employee no to BP with partner function:SE.

Is there anything I have to notice?

You should have a look at notes

Normally the replication from HR master to BP will be automatically. One of these notes give you a guide how to fix stuff when it does not. Also these clarify what has to be changed where when it is required and what the BP can and cannot be used for.

There is also a Fiori app for the PA30 step. Maintain employees I think it is called.

So for your list: You should not do step 4 manually. When you create an employee, it should create the BP automatically.

I am not sure on the PAL1 and PAL3 transactions. Can imagine this is now done with roles in the BP rather then these transactions.
