Dear PLM experts,
We are using S4 HANA Recipe Development PLM functionality to develop Recipe. At each phase of the recipe versions we need do Quality Test.
Final purpose is to do Quality for the recipe in each recipe versions. Need expert advice .
Thanks & Regards,
Sukhveer Singh.
Activate your 03 inspection type.
Add the characteristics into each step in the recipe the requires them.
You can add an operation just for inspection if you want to have like a milestone QM inspection step.
Activate the 04 inspection to do inspection on the final material once you do the goods receipt. You can copy forward results from the 03 into the 04 if you want.
You have asked a question which is very broad in nature. It will be difficult to get specific. Please research, read some blogs and help files and try setting up in a sandbox system to try out different configurations/data set ups.
If you can avoid using manual inspection lots, I would. There are plenty of ways to usually avoid manual lots. I've set up QM for many global fortune 500 companies and have rarely had the need to use manual lots for any significant plant process..

Hi Sukhveer Singh,
During Recipe development,we are assigning Specification (Input) in item type, pls check your recipe developer if they assigned Material number against Specification, then you can create Inspection plan (QP01) for this Material.(activate QM view in material master)
QM Process:
1.Create Manual Inspection Lot
2.Perform Result Recording
3.Perform Usage decision
4.Save & close.
Thanks
