Consolidation of Investment

Hi All,

I made all settings related to function Consolidation of Investment in BCS.

I tested the setting by function check setting & found all setting ok

Still when i run the Task for Consolidation of Investment system gives message in greem as "Processing not necessary"

In Location of Data i specified Investment & Equity to be read from Total Record

FS items for the Investment is maintained with movement type 120 for first consolidation & 600 for first consolidation for equity

I feel i am entering incorrect data in Total record qube & system is not been able to understand.

I entered Investment item 400000 with 100 Movement type & Qty field with 8000000,000 and UOM field as pct Investee Unit field with subsidiary Co.value

For Equity item 300000 with 100 Movement type & Upper unit value in Trading Partner.

What could be the reason for the same ?

Also Can you please list down the the important points(check List) to be checked before execution of task consolidation

wheather it related to data or config ?

Thanks for the response.

I tried with movement type 120 in data for investment item & movement type 600 for equity item.

Still system says "Processing not necessary".

Any Idea you guys are having ?

It look like there is some important disconnect is there which is missing which you experts are presuming i have done

but infact i missed that out.

You didn't fully understand to my first question : what did you put exactly in the location of values for investments and Equity ? What are your detailed triggers?

Then, on which posting level did you post your entries? What did you tick in your "Calculation base" settings?

Finally, are the Equity FS item and the Investment FS Item in the "Equity" table (COI > Settings > Equity)?

It looks like the totals is not posted with the same movement types as you stated in the location of values and therefore the system does not realize there is a first consolidation activity.

If I understand correctly your case you are trying to perform the first consolidation activity.

What is strange in what you describe is that your triggers for this activity are:

• Equity: movement type 600

• Investment: movement type 120

1) Did you also specify FS Items with these movement types in the location of values?

2) It is apparently not consistent with what you have in your totals (MT 100 for investments and Equity)

If the COI data are read from the totals the system expect to find in the totals the exact trigger you have set up in the location of values. If its is not the case (totals don't match the trigger), it will not post anything...
