Hello,
As stated
R/3 4.7(470x110) version with MS SQL + windows Server is only supported for IA32 and IA64 .
However you can install 32 bit kernel for x86 32 bit Windows on 64 bit Windows
64 bit Windows will run this kernel in 32 bit wow emulation mode
Will have better performance then on normal 32 bit Windows

Hi john,
I understood that you suggest do the following
hardware is 64 bit ....
Since we dont have media provide for that ...you may sugest us to use to install complete 32 bit sap system of 470x110
but when i am referring to following sap note SAP Note 960769 - Windows: Migration from 32-bit to
64-bit (x86_64) i should be able to to the migration..
However with the above notes i have followed the recoomondations using the following installation master
51033746_15 Installation Master 6.20/6.40 Windows Server on x64 64bit
but it still looks for the 8 exports of 470x200 release..
I am pretty confused.. running 32 bit sap system is not acceptable on new 64 bit hardware.
thanks,
rahul
Dear all,
I have found the following sap notes as solutions......
960769 - Windows: Migration from 32-bit to 64-bit (x86_64)
899111 Installing R3 4.7SR1 (47X110) on x64 Windows Platform
for running x64 64 bit with release 47x110 SR1...
But appreanlty i have also tried Inst master & Kernel using 47.200 SR1....
Installation went through with out any issues....
NOTE- there are 7 exports for 470x110 & 8 exports for 47x200 release..
However since i am only doing a system copy i haev sused the following inst master of 47x200...
thanks,
Rahul

Hello i understtod what you were saying
R/3 4.7(470x110) version with MS SQL + windows Server is only supported for IA32 and IA64 --
But i have identified installation master for 620 release. How do that happen.. i think there is some logic for x86_64 kernel in 470x110 kernel
However i have raised an message for sap support.. but if i can geta any information i could save some time
Thanks,
Rahul
Hi eric & all,
fisrt of all i wanted to understand few things with 4.71 release....
I have used instmaster & kernel provided in SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE 47X200 as it is labelled for 620/640 release
But appreantly it could look for only 470x200 exports not the 470x110 exports
I have downloaded almost all the media in inst master & kernel of 470x110 but no luck for x86_64 bit processor typr
only setup.cmd runs for either i386 or ia64
Can any one please suggest what could be the exact issue or any work around of installing 470x110 of x86_64 biit processor
thanks ,
rahul
Is there any specific reason for installing SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE 47X110? as this version is In extended maintenance which is ending 31.03.2013.
