crystal Report

I have some troubles with Crystal Report XI

I made a report that contains for example "ESTRATTO CONTO"

if I print the report it'is ok but if I export the report to PDF it print "ESTRATIO CONTIO".

I solved the problem installing SP6 for Cristale report XI (2) but I can't install

it to my customer because he has no cristal licence.

Is there someone who knows the solution?

    Hi Paola,

Why are you saying he doesn't have one? Did you sell him your application or is it internal to your company?

Have you read the License PDF file to see if he is covered?

Only option is to install SP6, you can't mix runtime to fix the issue, it could cause other serious problems.

If he doesn't ask them to contact our sales department to purchase a copy of Crystal reports.

    Thank you

    • Hi Paola,

Ah I see, you are the makers of the reports but don't distribute CR Designer or runtime.

I guess it's up to the end user. If it's a known bug and the fix is to install SP6 then your customer I believe has a licensed copy of CR and can therefore download and install SP6, or you can send it to them.

The problem is is if Edisoftware doesn't support SP 6 then your customer has no option. All I can suggest is you get your customer to ask Edisoftware to update their software so it uses SP6.

It's nothing you can control, possibly you could fix it by adjusting the field size or try dropping the field into a text box, that's been know to fix issues.

      Thanks again
