SAP dont startup

I have a issue with sap system.

At OS level, SAPSTART up the Dipatcher, Message server, icman etc, but when up the work proccess 04 this don't up.

I aply IPL and run startsap, sap startup.

Hi William,

you seem to use a pretty old kernel 7.00 with patch 151 here ...

What does the dev_w0 show us ? I guess, it is diing because of some reason ...

Hi,

Have u done SAP Kernel Upgradation and getting such error when starting SAP ?

Have u changed any memory related parameters at OS/SAP Instance level ? (Specially SWAP Space relates parameters...)

The possible reason can be a SWAP space issue. I would roll back such changes if they have been done as mentioned above and try to reboot the whole OS and then try to start SAP System. Please keep OS admin in loop.

Post the error contents of Developer trace of Work Process 0,1,3...(any dev_wp#).
