PR release strategy not working in ECC system

Hi

We have a PR release strategy set up with classification criteria PR type, account assign category, purchasing org and total value of requisition.

PR should have created with release approval needed. But PO could be created without any approval.

This is working in SAP R3 but not in ECC 6 system. I have checked all configuration and looks not changed in ECC.

Does anybody faced similar problem or have clue on this?

Thanks in advance.

Sanjay

    Hi,

Your Release strategy criteria is PR type, account assign category, purchasing org and total value of requisition.

I am assuming you would have reviewed the suggestion by other already provided and your config is in place.

    Check the following:-

    1. your PR Value should be defined in such a way that at any time your PR value should be in the range of you Characteristics values of net value.. example you config for net value is

    >0<100.00

    >100 and <200, this defination of Value is not correct.

It should be never overlapping also no gaps too.

(in my past experience i have learnt this in hard way).

Also , the important thing... the Rlease Strategy work like a AND criteria. i.e. you PR should carry all the Values , i.e

    PR type

    , account assign category,

    purchasing org and

total value of requisition. All should match the Characteristics Value you have maintained in that client.

    Hope this helps,

    Thx

    MJ

Have you setup the values for your characters and checked in CL20N with your strategy.Try to simulate the release strategy in CL20N and see what happens. You can assign the values for your characters in CL20N

Have you checked transaction OMGQCK if it shows any error?

Does you PR release is based on with or without classification? If it is with classification and while you create PR if you use more than one different account assignment category PR release will not work unless you assign a blank value in characteristic of account assignment category.

PR release strategy is configuration based.

Checked all characteristics values, release indicator and other config. All looks ok. Its working in R3 4.6 but not in ECC.

Other difference in 2 systems is, that in ECC environment, new legal entities are created and we are using new company codes, cost centers and G/L accounts. However the problem I am referring to is with new PR created I am not concerned with old PR documents.

    Hi,

Please check the values (Plant, Account assignment, Item Catagory, User ID) maintained in CT04 & CL20 properly or not ?

PR release strategy trigger on User ID.
