SAP DMS Authorization Issue.

Dear All,

We have created a 2 roles in DMS, wherein one person uploads documents and other person releases. According to that we have given authorization, for the person, who uploads Documents, should not release it. i.e authorization is given only for Inwork(IW) and Request for Approval(RA) But not for Release(RL) status.

Status network defined as Inwork(IW), Request for Aprooval(RA) and Released(RL).

Now the Issue is once the Document is Released by a Superior, the person who has uploaded the document, should be able to access it. But when we try with t-codes CV03N and CV04N to access the Documents system gives an Error _"Authorization is not given for Doc type and Status RL".

How to resolve the above issue???????

Hi Daya,

You must have 3 roles for dms. Creator,Releaser,Dislay. Now you have two roles and need to create one new roles with t-codes CV03n,CV04n only and having status RL.

Also you need to assign two roles to person uplaoding documents one is creator and another one is display role which is newly cretaed.

Thanks for your answers. But we had already tried this option. It doesn't work. we have created 2roles assigned as pointed out.

like one role is having CV01N and CV02n T-codes without RL status and other role is having CV03N and CV04N with RL status.

Since the object C_DRAW_STS is inserted in one of the roles, system is picking the status and allowing the person to release the Document.

Dear Sir

For this U can Create a separate Role Only Display with Released Status ...and assign to User..

Follow the SAP Standard Display role

Go to T-Code PFCG

Standard Role name is "SAP_CA_DMS_DISPLAY"

Copy this and make changes as per your requirement and assign to user.
