SAP Marketing Cloud - How to empty mandatory fields

Hi experts,

In SAP Marketing Cloud, we have various standard fields which are mandatory (e.G. content studio > Name, Marketing Area, Language) and pre-filled.

Is there a way to have the fields empty by default?

This would ensure no-one gets to the next screen without really checking on the value of these fields.

Thanks,

Hi Ana,

I see your point. Currently it is not possible to select a default value per user.

But please feel free to add this request in the influence tool.

Kind regards,

Silvia

Hi Ana,

Actually, this was a central request to have as many fields as possible filled with a useful value (e.g. used last time) to avoid that a user has to enter to many fields, where they normally / often only have one choice, e.g. working for a specific Marketing Area, default language is English, etc.

Do you have specific cases where it the pre-fill really matters?

Kind regards,

Silvia

Hi Silvia,

Yes, our business users could be linked to several marketing areas and when they create any object, the marketing area is defaulted with the "last used" value however for them, when they don't see a field which obliges them to enter a value they can forget to fill it. This then creates a object for a potential wrong marketing area and they need afterwards to start over when they notice that they missed the to change the value of the pre-filled field.

Is there at least a way of selecting a default value per user? We did not find this.

Thanks for having looked into this though !
