Crystal Reports Parameter taken incorrectly

I recently imported reports from BOE XI R2 to BOE XI 3.1 and was testing some reports through an application that is on .net. There is a report which has a parameter Fiscal Year which is set as INT in the Stored procedure and is made optional and set to NULL. If set to NULL take the current year.

My issue is when I run the report through the application which opens the report in activex viewer for the parameter value = 2010 I get an error saying- " The syntax of the value for prompt '2,010.000' is incorrect. Please correct the syntax and try again."

I dont get this error when I run this report through Crystal designer or through central management console. This report was working perfectly fine using BOE XI R2. I tried to fix this issue by verifying the database through designer and republishing and it didnt work. I also tried by removing all references to this parameter and republished and failed.

Is there a solution other than changing the stored procedure and is it related to activex coz i get this error only through the application?

I had this question in Business Objects forum but they asked me to post it here.

Thanks,
