When to use UI5 Theme designer?

Hi Experts,

I am building an UI5 application (HYBRID Application which will run in android , so will be creating its apk through Cordova) . There are a lot of customization be it in themes and styling of button and other controls . Moreover the app will be an offline one also. How can I achieve this?

I have tried using the custom css (had to change a lot of standard css objects) but its not best practice.

Please suggest.

Theme Designer helps when you want to maintain a consistent, central theme i.e. look and feel of your applications. For specific CSS changes which need to be performed for other applications should be handled in the local application CSS.

The advantage of a custom theme through theme designer is if any change is performed in that theme, it will reflect across all the applications.

You can maintain multiple custom themes in theme designer and apply accordingly. But, usually one custom theme is maintained and rest are handled locally.
