How to determine Approver of the CATS Timesheet

Dear All,

Client wants that once CATS user release or save his timesheet, his approver shall be made aware via e-mail.

In SAP, where to look that system reads Org Structure or picking up some other person based on Activity type/ WBS Element.

Where can I find this information that who is the approver.

Please provide your inputs.

If you use stadnard workflow, SAP will automatically send email. the standard workflow assumes the manager of the employee is the approver, so it will look for the chief position holder for the employee's org unit. In case yoru role resolution rules are more comples, you will have to just create your own custom worklfow and assign it to the data entry profile.
