Possible to link prod version of top level mat with prod vers of component?

Material A has a BOM that has 2 production versions, Version 1 and Version 2 (2 different production lines).

The BOM contains semi-finished material B. B also 2 production, Version 11 and Version 12 (2 different production lines also).

When for planning/costing Version 1 is used, it should always pull in Version 11 of the component BOM.

If Version 2 is used, it should always pull in Version 12 of the component BOM.

Any idea how we can control this? I canu2019t see where to link in the lower level production version.

Thanks a million

    Dear Oil,

If my understanding is correct while doing costing run in CK40N, for the finished product level, the system automatically first costs

the semi-finished product level and then at the finished product level.

The system pick the relevant BOM and routing for the sub-assemblies and after costing this, this value is used as the cost for the

higher level material. So in this case the system first picks up the first production version by default and the BOM and routing

which is linked gets picked up.

In case if this does not works, assign the production versions that's to be considered for costing, assign this in the costing 1 view

of the material master and check the impabt during cost rollup using CK40N.

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Dear OII,

Via CK11N there are two ways to perform costing

One way is material level and second way is PV level

Check the third Tab of CK11N you can get option production version
