Can B1 manage project cost management separately with company account?

Hi,

In B1, there are profit center (cost center) in the cost accounting. It is used to manage profit center. There are also project code tht can be setup and used in all transactions in B1. Could you elaborate more detail about your question ? if possible, pls give a specific sample scenario

Hi jimm,

for example if a construction company having a project and the management would like to view the project cost from time to time, so can we present the report on that project separately with entire company account and just specifically report on that project only.. (updated cost of the project, time frame, etc..)

Hi,

The scenario can be solved using project management addon. It is developed by SAP partner for SAP B1 end user.

Another solution must use customization in B1. The customization solutions might consists of create user defined table, user defined field, query FMS, addon SDK and report customization. All customization solution consideration are based on gap analysis approach. To find out how to get the gap analysis, we must discuss with the customer to find out their requirement about project management.
