Using PI 7.1 ESR Content to move Master Data from ECC 6.0 to CRM 7.0

Has anyone ever used PI to take the place of CRM Middleware to move data from ECC6 to CRM 7.0?

Perhaps using some delivered content services to move Customer_Main and Customer_Rel data?

Basically it's a matter of installing the content for PI based on Software Component SAP ABA 7.00 in namespace http://sap.com/xi/ABA. The mechanism works asynchronously with ABABusinessPartnerIn and ABABusinessPartnerOut service interfaces. It also requires configuration table CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU to be maintained based on the Business object, and the interface (ProxyIN, ProxyOUT etc.) in each of the source/target systems. The enhancement framework for PI ESR content can be utilized in conjunction with EEWB and the config table above to ensure customizations are included in the exchange.
