AET Error - Field ID ZZXYZ is already in use

Hello all,

Initially we added a field ZZXYZ in the Sales Quotation CUSTOMER_H using AET tool.

Because of certain reasons we had to delete this field later.

since we faced problems generating during deletion, we used the report AXT_EXT_GENERATE to Generate the enhancement.

Now when i try adding the field with the Same name ZZXYZ again, we get an error message - Field ID ZZXYZ is already in use

I also checked to see whether any other enhancement has the same FIELD ID , but none of my Enhancements are using this Field name ZZXYZ.

Please help. Appreciate quick reply.

Hi,

Have you checked that you have unassigned that field from UI config if you have used it earlier, also check the SAP Note 133744.

Also check the 'generate selection flag', by default it is hidden, enable it through personalization. if the generation has not happened properly this generation flag will not be automatically activated, you have to manually activate it and then only it will delete the custom field.

We checked the generate selection flag, it is visible during the field generation and is checked.

The error message says that the Field Id is in use. It does not specify which enhancement is using it.

If there is already an enhancement that uses the field we get an error something like -

ZEXT0000ME: Field ID ZZXYZ is already used by enhancement ZEXT0000M3

But in our case there is no enhancement that the error points to.

it just says - Field ID ZZXYZ is already in use.

Hi

the problem is solved.

the reason for the problem was. The field ZZXYZ was being used in the Communication structure CRMT_BTX_EEW_BAPE_VBAK
