Connecting Xcelsius to BW query

Hi Gurus,

I am trying to connect Xclesius to BW Query and connection was done perfectly.

I am following the DOcumnet of INgo Hilgifort.

I that document there is a step in which we need to Publish the Dashboard. My question is about that step.

1] Why do we publish?

2] Where do we publish?

3] Our SAP landscape is Dev, Q and Prod. When I click on Publish, the SAP Logon pad appears. SO does that mean its going to sit in BW environment and will need to be trabnsported all the way from Dev to Prod?

Can anyone please clarify?
