    Hello,

As you are using the User Status SCrapped which will only informative that this Equipment is Scrapped if You set the DLFL You will get The Message "The business transaction cannot be carried out." It will stop you to carry out your transction such oredr and notification and etc....So my point of view if you are scrapping the equipment and same equipment will not be come for any mainatnance activity Eventhough you are setting the User status as scrapped also set that equipment DLFL.

    Regards,

    Hi,

If you set the Equipment status as "Inactive", I hope it will restrict the creation of business transactions for that equipment. Also Its purely based on your business requirement.

    AR,

It depends on how your other business process are designed and what restrictions are required for the same.

    • Hi

Also check whether the scrapped material is sold for getting any revenue, then the phase out process will have MM integration also. You can have the process of sending back the material to stores by material transfer to scrap material (zero value) and then it can be sold to get some revenue.

Its always better to dismatle and then set the deletion flag as it will complete the process and also restricts from any other business process.
