EHP3 upgrade - DDIC activation hangs

We are applying EHP3 with IS AFS in a single queue.(SAP_APPL603,EA_APPL603,AFS603 and support packages). During the DD Activation process, it took hours in process, but after checking SM50 we found that the program RADMASG0-C3 was running(hangs) without being terminated - while updating table E071.

Can anyone let me know how to fix this ?

I hope you have provided calculated Stack File and provided all the required patches for EHP3 Application.

As per [SAP Note 1144048 - Upgrading to SAP ECC EHP3 with SAP AFS 603|], Add-on AFS 603 modifies SAP_APPL components. So the CRTs of AFS 603 for SAP_APPL will be required in the Upgrade Queue. Do all are included ?

Refer SAP Note 1144048 to get more information about other requirements.

Also refer relevant latest ACTIVATION logs located in /EHPI/.../abap/logs location and post the same. If possible retry the same action where the error has been reported.

Simultaneously , I would raise OSS message (if issue is looking more complex) because IS AFS is included in your case.
