oracle service Oracle<sid><oracle version>iSQL*Plus is not getting started

Hi,

we have installed Oracle 10g on WIN2003 Enterpeise Server sp2 & installed Solution Manager7.0 ehp1 for Development server successfully.

For Production server, we had installed WIN2003 Enterpeise Server sp2 & while installing Oracle for Production Server , Oracle service ( OraclePRD102iSQL*Plus) is not gettting started. we are not sure what went Wrong.

Hi Sarat,

iSQL*Plus service is not necessary for the SAP installation. Under this circumstance, you can ignore this error.

simply disable this service. you do not need it.

You can ignore this error and start installing the SAP. Once you installed the SAP, the database service will be created. The database serivce and listener service are sufficient(in terms of database) to run the SAP system.

You can chek the windows event viewer and look for errors under system and application.
