Automation Error Interface not registered Err on submitting input schedule

My Dev system:

Multi Server : 2 Servers

1. Application Server:

Windows 2003 Server Standard

IIS Web Server

File Server

SAP BPC 7.0 release 7.0.116

2. Database Server

Windows 2008 Standard Edtion

MS SQL 2008 Development Edition

Our IT Department has requested that we remove Excel 2007 from our Application Server

After uninstalling Excel 2007 from the Dev Application server , when submitting on any input schedule we receive a Refresh schedule results window : Status : Failed and - Error Message - " Automation Error Interface not registered " . The data that is submitted is updated , and reflects when the input schedule is refreshed however the the refresh schedule results window shows a status of failed.

When we reinstall Excel 2007 on the Application Server we dont get the error.

All prerequisite software is installed and in place after we uninstalled Excel.

Is Excel installed on the Application server a dependency for BPC 7.0.

Any ideas on how we can uninstall Excel on the Application server and avoid this error?
