BO SAP Integration kit version

Hi,

I have installed BOXI 3.1 SP3 system and now installing the SAP integration kit. Will BO-SAP integration kit 3.1 will work with this or should i install Integration kit 3.1 SP3 for it. Also the Integration kit 3.1 SP3 is available as patch, so should I first install Integration kit 3.1 then upgrade it to SP3 or directly install Integration kit 3.1 SP3. Whats the correct procedure.

Hi,

the versions always have to match. depending on what you installed for BOE you need to follow the same logic. so in case you SP3 was a new / full install then you need to install SP3 for the Integration Kit.

in case you had a Sp2 install and installed Sp3 patch then you need to follow the same logic for the integration Kit

Thanks Noor and Ingo. What I am doing is ..installing new/full install of BO XI 3.1 SP3, and as per your comments I should go for new/full install of integration kit 3.1 SP3. but i didn't find the full installmedia for Integration kit 3.1 SP3..rather i find integration kit 3.1 SP3 patch file.

So, should I install Integration kit 3.1 first and apply the SP3 patch or what? Please help.

hi Ingo,

my concern is for integration kit 3.1 SP3 which is not available in SWDC only 3.1 is available there.

Thanks!!! I am able to download it now, but what about the transport files for this Integration kit 3.1 SP3? I only see the .exe installer file there.

Hi, I have tried to install "BOBJ INTGR SAP03_0-10007514.EXE SAP BusinessObjects Integration for SAP XI 3.1 ServicePack 3 0 Info 138754 25.05.2010" directly without installing Integration kit 3.1 and it gives below error:

"update installation cananot proceed because either the target product is missing or it is not the correct version for this update. verify that the product to be updated exists on your system and you have the correct patch."

I got the transports now, the only issue I am facing now is, if I try to install Integration kit 3.1 SP3 from exe directly without installing Integration kit 3.1 and it gives below error:

"update installation cananot proceed because either the target product is missing or it is not the correct version for this update. verify that the product to be updated exists on your system and you have the correct patch."

Please suggest.

Hi,

which tells me that you did not download the actual INSTALLATION but instead the PATCH version.

all the software is on http://service.sap.com/swdc and there is the choice of INSTALLATIONS and PATCHES.

Hi Amit,

You cannot install directly the BO-SAP integration kit 3.1on top of BOBJ XI3.1 SP3.

You need to follow the proper order to install the SAP Integration Kit.

- Install BOBJ XI3.1

- On top of this install SAP Integration XI3.1

- Now, you can install the latest BOBJ SP's and then corresponding SAP Integration SP's.
