BPC Excel - Problem in dimension file

Former Member

Hi,

I am working on BPC 7.5, Microsoft. Windows server 2003.

I am able to create a dimension, but Excel 2003 shows "There is a problem in dimension file: "

Previoulsy i has an issue "connecting to OLAP: the server has not started or is too busy" which was solved once installing 9.0OLE DB Provider, and looking for answers in the forum i found that this "dimension issue" is supposed to be solved installing that package...

I also installed ADOMD.NET.msi and ADOMD.Net-KB893091-v8.00.0991-x86.EXE .... but notting changes...

Are there any other solutions?

Thanx in advance.

Hi,

I would request you to take a backup of the membersheet excel sheet in a normal excel. Now, delete the member xml files in the server. Then use the backed up excel to re-create the dimension sheet.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Thank you for the quick response, i managed to solve it by giving the appropiate "security" credentials for the dimension.

1. Modify member access profile - "define access rights for the secured dimension in the following app" - read & write
