Hi,

IDE is a part of the utilties solution (IS-U). Approximatly said, IDE uses the ALE functionalities for communication between service providers.

Take a look at:

Arya,

POD is a place where utility services are rendered. As you know there are two types of POD that can be defined in IS-U.

a) Deregulation - This point of delivery is assigned by the distributors or regulatory entities to define point of energy supply when communicating with market participants or service providers. This POD is allocated to one installation and one installation can be allocated to only one POD. You usually allocate one POD with more than one installation when the same POD is required for billing supply and distribution contracts.

b) Technical POD is used to mostly in IS-U EDM as they are allocated to registers. It is useful for identifying profiles in EDM and POD is specified when load shapes are imported. This POD can be allocated to more than one installation but needs to have same division and premise.
