Mode of transport

Hello, For one of the delivery with ref to SO, On header foreigh trade data I can see mode of transp and domestic mode of transp...From where those values are picked?

Hi Gupta,

If the ship to party is not in the country of the shipping point country then it is reqyured to fill in the details of foreign trade data in delivery header.

Following steps will help you to get the default data automatically in the delivery header,

1. Go to SAP Customizing Implementation Guide>Sales and Distribution-Foreign Trade/Customs--Transportation Data--Define Modes Of Transport

and define mode of transports like Road, Sea, Rail or Air per country

2. Then go to SAP Customizing Implementation Guide>Sales and Distribution-Foreign Trade/Customs--Transportation Data--Default values for foreign trade header data

Click on new entries and coose following,

a. if the transaction is export or import (mostly export in sales)

b. Destination country of import (Ship to country)

c. Departure country of import (Shipping point country)

d. ModeOfTrnsprt-Border (From the config you've done in step 1)

e. DomestModeOfTransp (From the config you've done in step 1)

Then create a sales->delivery and the foreing trade transport data will be populated automatically,
