Change BEx Chart

Hi Expert,

I want to ask about BI Chart.

Could we change "Source data series in" Column to Row for BI Chart ?

Could we change the colour of chart depend on the data ?

ex : if margin > 100 then color of chart type column is Green,

if margin > 50 and margin < 100 then color of chart type column is orange.

We use BI add on 7.x support package 11.

Hi Budianto, Is it about Data Provider selection? If so, you can use a combo box to choose which DP_X you need at run time. Change the settings of the combo box to affect the chart web item at run time. Edit prefs in SET_ITEM_PARAMETERS also if needed. There would be absolutely no problem for changing the 'Source data series in... Cols/Rows'. Pls. correct me if I'm wrong, but are you trying for swapping axes of your chart data? If so, you can just edit the chart by right click context menu > Properties > Web Item > Data specific settings > Swap Display Axes. If you are using WAD, you can create a button & assign properties to edit the chart web item. Colors: Not sure on this one, but you can edit the chart type & properties. For data visualization in Analysis Grid using colors you can try exceptions & apply rules for 'margins' using conditions; but I'm not sure if this can be extended to chart properties (It works in Xcelcius though). Is there possible to add macro for query 7.x after query has been refresh ?

Because i add macro for bex query on SAPBEXonREFRESH, the macro not executed after i refresh the query.

I already edit the source data of excel chart in Bex. from series in column to series in row.

but after i refresh the query, the chart back to series in column again.

I use standard chart of bex query (chart is automatic create after we create & execute the query) BI 7.x.

Arun Bala, i use bex chart, not WAD chart. could you tell me how to do that in Bex excel chart ?

in above forum use WAD Chart.

Hi,

Right click on the chart and go to source data there you can select the series. You just need to select the area . You have also option for Format area here you can change the color, font etc. These are microsoft excel charts.. Please go thur the below link. This might help you.

You can change the color and series for a chart. Can you please tell where are you creating charts - WAD or Bex analyzer .
