Data Foundation cannot see PUBLIC schema

While creating data foundation in Universe in Information design Tool (IDT), the option Insert table does not show any of the PUBLIC schema synonyms or tables. Parameter "Include Synonyms" has been set to "True" at client and server level. User used for connection has been tested with other tools (TOAD, SQL Plus) and not problems accessing the PUBLIC schema there.

Any idea of what can be the problem with IDT?

We are BO 4.2 SPS 2 Patch 6 conecting to Oracle 11g.

Can we make sure we have created Public synonyms at oracle level . If not the private synonym should have been created by the user who owns the connection.
