Date query

Hello

Been trying to look for a solution to my query but not able to get it. If you could help me it would be nice.

There are 2 dates that we are required to give - One at the time of Storage Bucket profile creation and the other when Time series is created.

What is it that these dates control ? How do these dates work ?

( Common answeres are - From date and to date in the storage bucket profile is the date on which the profile is valid.

Dates in the time series are the dates for which the planning area is inititlalized. ) But i think these dates have a much greater value to play.

Thank you for your time.

Regards

KK

    Hi,

    SBP:

A SBP defines the time buckets in which data based on a given planning area is saved in DP and SNP. In the SBP we define

ยท The peridoicities in which the data to be saved and The horizon during which the profile is valid.

Also we can include a time stream to incorporate factory calendars and other planning calendars.

    Time Series:

Before we create and work with planning books, we must create time series objects for the planning area.(PA initialization).

During this process system creates a network of characteristics and key figures in LiveCache. This can be done for a specific planning version and time period.

*It is also possible to choose the initialization period for each Keyfigure inidividually. ie It is possible to initialize the key figure for historical data in past and forecast data in future and thereby reduce the amount of memory and increase perfomamnce. It is also possible to extend time series in future and delete the last period from LC by re initializing the time series periodically.(Rolling horizon.)

Note: The initiliazation dates for individual key figures must be within the initialization dates of the whole planning area.

For instance, you specify that the initialization period should be from 12 months in the past to 12 months in the future. If todayu2019s date is July 1, 2003, this means that the initialization period starts on July 1, 2002 and ends on June 30, 2004. If the report is started a new on August 1, 2003, change the dates to August 1, 2002 and July 31, 2004.

    Thanks,

    nandha
