Error calling application via OLE ALVIEWER.APP

Hi all,

While viewing the attachment for an outbound delivery i'm getting an error for one particular attachment saying "Error calling application via OLE ALVIEWER.APP" Kindly help me out sorting out this problem.

This could be due to many issues.

1. You do not have alviewer installed on the Client Side. AKA Open Text Windows Viewer or Livelink Windows Viewer, or if Old Installation IXOS-eCON for Desktop or very very OLD installation IXOS Viewer.

2. Your SAPgui is not at right patch level for version of alviewer. Review Release notes of version of alviewer.

3. Your maintenance of archivelink application for  IXVIEWER, IXVIEWERURL, or IXVIEWERURLOA is somehow faulty. Possible typo if application settings are maintained manually. TA OAA4.

4. Your Frontend Communication Protocol is faulty. e.g. IX_OLEU1, or  IX_HTTP2. Possible typos if manually maintained. TA OAA3.

5. Very Rare - Incorrect maintenance of CLSID for OLE Application ALVIEWER.APP. Possible typo if manually maintained. TA SOLE.

Hi,

Install Opentext Image Windows Viewer 9.7.0 or 10.0.

Also configure you windows registry with ADM server settings.
