CRM->MSA HH

Hi Gurus.

I'm brand new to SAP Mobile...

I've been searching about the SAP CRM Mobile Sales solution but I can't find objective information about the current release.

Is MSA HH, still the solution for CRM 7.0 as the back end?

What role does SAP Gateway 1.1 to NetWeaver Mobile play in the scenario?... Is this the actual new solution instead of MSA HH?

HI,

MSA HH was a solution built for sales on Mobile 7.0 release and its also supported by Mobile 7.1 release (also called as DOE). But in the 7.1 release its a purely a solution to offer backward compatibility to 7.0. This solution uses CRM as BE and NW middleware layer. The client is also SAP propritery.

Project Gateway is a solution which comes as add-on on NW Mobile 7.1 and CRM Sales application is available on this platform too. Its the latest offering from SAP and has been jointly developed by SAP and Sybase. This in addition to the SAP stack (CRM + DOE), you also need the Sybase solution called SUP server in the landscape. The advantage is that the application is now already avaialble for IPhone, Windows Mobile and will be soon ported to BlackBerry also. This joint platform is the future from Mobility side of SAP and SAP is investing heavily with Sybase in this area. Thus going forward you will see better product integration (i.e NW Mobile and SUP) as well as more robust development tools to build applications on SAP Backends.

is the SAP + SYBASE solution available with windows laptop? or it's only compatible with mobile devices?

Hi David,

This application is available only with mobile devices. As this is targetted towards mobile devices, we don't have laptop solution for the same.

1. Windows Mobile

2. Apple (iPhone, iPod etc.,)

3. Blackberry (will be out soon i guess)
