Crystal Reports 2008 Issue with configuring ODBC

I am installing and configure Crystal Reports 2008 on a citrix server. I have one ODBC connection to our AS400. When I test this I have two issues.

1st

Testing from the server. I click on the a new report and see the AS400 connection but when I double click it prompts for an username and password. The username is filled in with my userid. How do I change this to have the username blank.

2nd

Testing from the citrix client. When I create a new report I select the ODBC connection but I do not see the AS400 connection. Where is this pulled from and why is it different than when I run crystal directly from the server.

Any help would be appreciated and if you have any other tips on configuring the crystal application please let me know. I would like to get this configured correctly on our new citrix farm.

Thank you,

Barb

I am trying to login to an IBM I5 system with the client access ODBC driver and somehow the Crystal Report is sending a login string with my userid for the UID parm. How can i change that to send blank and force a prompt to key a userid and password.

I was updating the 64 bit ODBC connections instead of the 32 bit.

Hi Barb,

Please, one question per post.

Check with Microsoft on how to configure ODBC DSN's so that all users can see the DSN. You should also check with IBM to verify their ODBC driver is supported on a Citrix farm and how to configure it.

Thank you
