CIF-Firmed planned orders

Hi,

I have some planned orders created in R/3-Normal and firmed one's (manually firmed)

The normal one's are getting CIFF'ed but the one's having firming indicator are not getting CIFF'ed..............

any reason

I have seen in the material master DISPLAY CHANGES that the MRP type has been changed from PD to X0

I am assuming that MRP had generated normal planned orders with PD

User went and firmed some of the orders manually

Then MRP ran for the new MRP type X0 and generated fresh planned orders(The firmed one's would remain untouched)

The one's having firming were generated with MRP type PD and now the MRP type is X0 (Which means it has to be planed in APO).....Since they are already created in R/3 and now the new MRP type cannot support the functionality of creating them in APO

...they are not getting CIFF'ed.......................is my guess correct???

and moreover I noticed that the ACTION TAB is active in the planned orders that are getting CIFFed and not in the firmed one's

Please suggest if my interpretation is correct and suggest if there is any out

Thanks,

SS
