Need to check Paging functionality

Hello Guru's,

In my company version change is going on, we copied in test server & implemented new CRs in that, even we completed customizing comparison. Now query is that, client used paging functionality for Breakdown maintenance in old version (through IVR m/c). now how could I check that paging functionality transfered to new version or not? still new version is not went live in production server, still it is in Testing server. How could I check it in Testing server?

I haven't worked before on paging functionality, so requested you to reply.

Amol,

Like every other testing during upgrade, identify the Testing document for the Business process and follow the steps in it. If the document isnt available, find out the Business process that the paging functionality accomplishes in production and test the same.

Hi,

is it possible to confirm by checking configs that paging functionality of new testing server is same as it is of Production server.

while testing in test server, system gives error that "An error occured during download to the file server, Notification has not been send, plz inform your paging partner by telephone"

plz help in this regards.

Amol,

There are different ways this can done.Hence unless we know the process of Paging thats being used, it would be identify the problem.Understand the process and identify the error through Debug or other means and then trouble shoot to resolve the same through SDN or OSS.
