Mandatory Feilds addon installation error on client with OS win 7 64 bit

Hi

I did a fresh installation of SAPB1_2007A+native client x64 on client PC with OS win 7 64 bit.

Then initial session with User Manager

I normally get a pop up window that says ADD-ON INSTALLATION WIZARD I click install and everything goes smooth .

now

When I make install I get an ERROR

POP UP Error:

"

Error while trying to install the AddOn

Error: access to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\Malam\Mandatory Feilds' denied.

"

I think it got to do with the permissions that exist on 7 64-BIT .

In my WIN XP system this error does not exist.

Someone here know how to solve that issue?

Thanks

Erez

When you start the client on the machine for the first time, use right click on the icon & run as administrator so the add ons install using administrator rights

I tried to enter as administrator... still the same problem .

I disabled the Mandatory Feilds for the specific user ...

What is the purpose of that ADD-ON " Mandatory Feilds ver 2007.0.0.10 " ?

Thanks

Hi,

If you are referring to SAP B1 std addon, I suggest to remove the addon first and then reinstall it. Make sure that the addon is enable to all users. Just go to addon administration --> user preferences --> click users --> select preferences manual, automatic or mandatory.

Hi,

Before you create the addon exe and installer, make sure that the addon is set to compatible with 64 bit OS in the addon references.

Hi Erez,

Welcome you to the forum.

Is this your add-on? Is this add-on compiled to be compatible with 64 bits?

Thanks,

Gordon

Hi Gordon and Thanks for your reply

No It isn't my add-on and I do not know what the role of that add-on .

I think it came together with the SAP update/

I understand by your question that the update had to compile for 64BIT OS

There is a way to cancel the update/add-on request for that particular station each time the user logs in ?

This specific user only reads information. I don't think He need that ADD-ON

Its annoying and stuck the computer every time that someone log in.

Thanks

Erez

You may disable this add-on for that user.
