Copy inspection results not working

Former Member

Dear Gurus,

I made the settings required for copying inspection results and it is working on the QA server, but it is not working on the PROD server although I'm making the same settings. When I go to transaction QA32 and go for results recording in the required operation, I press "Edit" but I don't get the "Copy inspection results" choice.

Any ideas??

Regards,

MaX

Hi,

Check in your inspection plan for whether you have maintained result orgin or not. if not then maintain it.

Every thing is made regarding the customization and the lot origin in the inspection plan.

just Check your customizing settings:

Active EA-PLM ext setting

1.Insp type, plant

2.contol in insp lot & Control in RR : Manual & Automatic data transfer

3.Origin TL & Dataorigin RR : 02

4.Selection column:300

in addition to above settings also check Mapping : 300 (BI QEC_MAPPING_300)

origin data result :previous inspection lot

also check whether related badi's are activated or not.

My settings are a custom results origin, selection 300 and mapping 100, and these settings are working with me on the QA server.

@ YOGINI B THORAT: What BADI's, I did nothing with it.

Since it works in your QA system and not your production server, my guess is that you have miss matched master data in the production system. Make sure both lots (i.e. source and receiving) are uisng task lists with the same usage. Then of course the operation numbers and characteristics numbers must match up. And then of course the data value has to be able to be copied over into the matched characteristic.

Since you are using mapping of 100, if on OP 10, char 20 you have a characteristic like PPM at 3450 and in the receeiving plan, OP 10, char 20 is a pH test in the format of 3 characters and 2 decimals, it can't copy.

I typically use a mapping of 200 which links up the MIC numbers as well as checking the methods if used.

I'd also recommend that you make sure the Log indicator is set in configuration so you can veriy the transfer at least to start.

Actually Fire the problem is that the field of "Copy inspection results" in the "Edit" menu is not appearing !!

Double check in your Prod system that for the receivng inspection type record the value for "Control in RR" has gotten transported thru and is either 1 - Manual start of data transfer or it is 3 - Manual and automatic transfer.

If it is a 2, the choice in results recording won't be available.
