Hi,

You can us the Service Desk functionality of solution manager thru web, and i prefer that as the most user friendly way to access service desk rather than the typical confusing CRM screens via GUI.

You can perfom all the service desk activities from the browser, ie creating of tickets, processing and closing of tickets.SAP Solution Manager 7.0 has the new concept of Work Centers, if you have the required work center role, you will get only the console which is required for the service desk message processing.

You can access this via

http://<hostname>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ags_workcenter?WORKCENTER=AGS_WORK_INCIDENT_MAN&sap-la...

The following work center roles will be required to access the same.

SAP_SMWORK_BASIC

SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN

Regards,

Sam
