What do I need for Dashboard Product?

Hi, I'm looking to find out which BOBJ tool I need just for Dashboarding. Before requesting my Company to purchase I would like to know exactly what to ask for. I have searched SDN, I have been on SAP.COM, and I have been online chat with a rep. Things are still a little cloudy. The names are changing and the website is still confusing at best.

I am simply looking to have 2 Developers create Dashboards (with Excelsius) directly with SAP BW Queries as a DataSource. I then would like several Executives or maybe a Group of Users to be able to view these through our SAP Portal Web. Not sure how many users yet.

When speaking with a very patient Chat Rep I was first directed to the "Edge" Product which is definitely more than I need since I believe this is a BI Solution in itself and we already have SAP BW. The Chat Rep mentioned that Excelsius would be included.

Then he mentioned "Dashboard Builder" (Which I guess is Excelsius). but the Product Page doesn't mention anything about connecting to SAP BW Queries and publishing to Flash/Flex and still retaining BW Query Connection.

I'm hoping I just need 2 reasonably priced licenses of "Dashboard Builder" so I can publish the live/connected Dashboards to FLASH for anyone to see in our Company.

Can anyone clear this up and let me know if I just need "Dashboard Builder" and can:

1. Publish Dashboard (with BW Query Connections) to Flash for Display on the Portal?

2. When converted to Flash still retain the BW Query Connection?

Hi,

As i understood from your query is that,

- You want to create Dashboard with SAP NW BI

- You want view this dashboard in Portal

For the first option you can have the Xcelsius latest Product with the latest SAP GUI installed. With this you can create the Dashboard with SAP NW BI.

Now, once created if you want to have this in portal then you must have BOE installed and then this BOE should be configured to the backend BW system.

You can find more information on the below link:
