Changing Display Text of Main Menu Modules and Forms

Hi,

I want to change the display text appearing in the main menu. How do i do it without using UI API? e.g. We find Sales AR as a module in Main menu. I would like to display only 'Sales' instead of 'Sales AR'. Also, we find AR Invoice under Sales AR module in main menu. I would like to display 'Sales Invoice' instead of ' AR Invoice'.

I need to do it as my client says that he is not comfortable with the names used. He doesn't understand them. And wants me to do it by tomorrow.

Help would be appreciated.

Under the Document Numbering module in Administation> System Initialisation, you do have the option to change the names of the forms (AR Invoice etc), but I don't think you can change the main menu headings.

Hi,

As Bhavank said; it's understandable that there will be a learning curve when changing software... but if the customer still isn't compfortable with the fact that this is fairly standard terminology, you could suggest using "My Menu". Depending on how many windows a user needs, this could mean a lot of individual setup involved. Show how to use it and then they set it up to their liking. It just may cause confusion if not all users use the same terminology/setup.

Convince your client that they have purchased SAP & its not local software here the terms used by SAP is standard & global terms and i recommend to do not change standard SAP nomenclature.

Hi,

The system menu and form is better not touch. If your client has problem with terms, you could tell them what is AR. Why AR is in associated with sales.
