CE 7.2 and NWDI CMS error

Former Member

Hi All,

I have installed CE 7.2 successfully. And now doing Post installation configuration. I have two questions.

1. NWDI comes along with CE7.2 or not? If yes how can we confirm that installed successfully? If not what is the way..?

2. In configuration wizard while executing u201CDI Change Management Service (CMS): Create an Application Skeletonu201D after providing CMS URL and User name and Password got following error at step 6 of 41.

Validation Error: Communication with the CMS failed. Ensure that the URL is correct, that the CMS is up an running, and that the given user has administrative access rights for the CMS [Invalid begin of response [expected: HTTP, found: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">]]

What It is wrong? and where I can check CMS up and running

Thanks,

Bhupesh

NWDI is an optional component during CE7.2 installation

start JSPM to check whether NWDI is installed or not.

in my case, it is located:

Deployed Components->CE>sap.com/DI

before you use the wizard to create track, you have to get the NWDI configured first, which is also done by configuration wizard.

http://host:port/sld/fun

configure your system via that url, where DI will be enabled.

Hi

in JSPM I am not able to see DI component. I can see only follwoing components under Deployed Components->CE>

- sap.com/BASIC

- sap.com/BPM

- sap.com/CE-APPS

- sap.com/CE-MODEL

- sap.com/COMP-ENV

when I tried to enable DI thru sld/fun I got follwoing errors

error during validation : com.sap.tc.lm.ctc.metamodel.exception.ActionExecuteException: Service execution error; invocation target error when calling method hasTrack in class com.sap.ctc.util.di.services.CMSServices of component sap.com/tcdictc_ear (error message = Invalid begin of response [expected: HTTP, found: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">])

The request URL was:"http://<host>:50000/CBSWebService/CBSHttpSOAP?style=rpc". Check, whether the URL is correct, and the Web Service that you are requesting is up and running. 1.Put the sca under usr\sap\trans\EPS\in

2.start your jspm

3. choose "New Software Components" or "Additional Usage type Installation"

Thanks John Wu..its perfect solution. just one small change we can copy it in folder and in JSPM need to select Business package and install it accordingly.
