System-Performance Key Figures

Hi all,

we are using "IT-Performance-Reporting" in Solution Manager and are willing to report on the system-performance key-figures like "instance availability" and "system availability".

SAP does define the following:

System availability

The availability of one or all monitored systems is shown. A system is available if the message server of the system answers the availability agent CCMSPING (see below), and at least one application server is active at the message server.

The System Availibility report takes planned downtimes, which are ouput in a separate diagramm, into account, so that you can compare actual availability with planned downtimes.

Instance availability

The availability of the Java and ABAP instances of a selected monitored system is displayed. An instance is available if it is active at the message server.

see: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm70ehp1_sp23/helpdata/en/45/51fbdbd4941803e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm

From our point of view, the "instance availability" can therefore not be higher than the "system availability"...

but unfortunately, our key figures are exactly "vice-versa"...

So what is wrong with them? Is there an error which needs to be solved or is SAP's key figure definition wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,
