Creating additional MM views via MDG

Background :

While creating a material - several views at the plant level were created (eg. MRP1,2,3 etc) but now we need to add the QM data - we try to do this via 'Change Material' - and make the Inspection Type 'Active' system gives an error saying QM view is not created.

Question - how do you create an additional MM view via MDG after the material is activated.

Hi, concerning views, there is the guide

https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SAPMDM/Documentation%3A+Material+Data - search for "Best practice for Maintenance Status"

Would the same change be possible in the backend with transaction MM01?

Via MM01 - I can create the new view . in this case its the QM view. When I try this via MDG - via 'Change Material' I get a message saying

"No Quality Management view has been created for material <matl number> "

FYI - I am trying this via MAT02 and we have not done any data model enhancements for the QM fields.
