Stucture explosion not possible

Hi,

I have created a BoM for a material but the BoM is not exploding in the sales order. It says the item category not found in table T184. However I have maintained all the requisite in VOV4.

Can anyone please help with the possible solution.

Hello Wasim,

Did you maintain Item category for Main and sub items? Check what is the item cat in the Material Master?

For sub item category determination you need to have the higher level item cat.

for example:-

OR LUMF -

---

TAP ---> Main Item

OR LUMF TAP TAN--> Sub Item

Hi

In VOV4, you could have enabled the item category determination only for the header item and not for the subitems (items of the BOM). Please enable the item category determination in such a way that the header item should be relevant for explosion and then that parent item should have a default item category for the child items. If this is done, your problem will be solved.
