Error in NWDS : Sap dev. Config online faild . VFS Client Must not be null

Hello all ,

I am facing issue while logon to the MY Track.

I have imported my track from DTR .

After that when I trying to log on with client for that NWDS giving me error.like

u201CSap development online configuration failed . cause : com.sap.tc.devconf.devconfigexception: VFS Client Must not be nullu201D

Can any one giude me on this to resolve this error .

Hi Vikramshirole29,

can you please

- ensure you have no open activities

- remove the development configuration (delete also from the filesystem) from your NWDS

- reimport the development config in your NWDS

- ensure that DTR is up and running and accessible

- try to reproduce the problem.

I've been facing he same error off late.

we did a server migration as we had to move from physical server to virtual servers. but we ensured that the hostnames and IP addresses remain same.

I tried reinstalling the NWDS, but same error. What are the Dev Configurations files on the client system to be deleted?

I have seen this issue before.

It was caused by wrongly renaming of the workspace folders.

Did you rename the workspace folders on your system?
