Hi guys
I am experiencing quite a perculiar situation in ESS where the HRPAD00INFTYUI and HRPAD00INFTYBL BAdis only displays error messages in ESS for infotype updates. If I pass a W, I or S message to the BAdis these messages don't display.
Have you experienced the same? Is there a way to display warning/information messages in the BAdis?
I have used the sample coding given in the example coding for the BAdis.

Hi Siddarth
Thanks for confirming my findings. Points awarded.
We decided to go with the decorate option in personalisation to display the warning message. In our case it will just be a static message which should display in every instance.

You are right no warning message appears with method call (INSERT_COMPUTATIONS) is executed by BADI
In ESS 'Personal
Information' scenarios like, Bank, family, Personal data, address#only
ERROR message are displayed but not the warning or informative messages.
The warning message which are raised
in back end (PA30) while editing same personal info records (like, Bank,
family, Personal data, address#are more specific to 'Administrator'; not
specific to 'Employee'. And more over PA30/PA20 are like accessing
'Employee info' with 'administrator perspective' and ESS is more
'employee specific' perceptive. And warning messages are more relevant
to administrator; hence the warning/informative messages are not
displayed in ESS personal information screens of ESS portal.
we could see the following option in this case.
1> Create a text which you want to display in portal, using portal
personalization in portal. This you can do it in 'edit' screen of BANK
iview/page in preview mode.
2> You can pass similar text in the in the 'Service Description' of
service: 'Australian Bank' in Area 'Home page customizing.'
3> In case if you have NWDS set-up ready you have to do a significant
amount of code modification to collect the warming/informative message
and show up in the portal. This is surely a complex option.
