Questions I hope that can be answered quickly, is this best practice?
30 reports created on HANA Views, most reports have been built directly on a single HANA View per report.
There are 12 universes but these are not being used for all reports (?), in some instances, one universe per report.
Complex calculations and measures are held at report level, each report has any number of these and they are manually replicated across reports.
Report variances have been created, new report for each version even though only location is different.
My understanding is that this is not best practice, it is anything but, however need input from someone who knows more.
Thanks!
Regarding Point 1 & 2, I believer this will depend on the requirement of the report
Point 3. If possible, complex calculations need to pushed at the DB level as much as possible. If the calculation is going to be used in more than once, then its best done at the DB level - this saves development effort and also helps in report performance
Point 4. For this you can suggest for creation of prompt for 'Location' and re-use same report, saving on development & maintenance efforts and storage space for the reports.

PS. to answer your core question - the activities you have listed are definitely not the best practice for WebI/HANA development. thanks.
