Hi,
I am on eRec EHP4 SP4......
How do you fetch the name of external candidate that has been entered by the recruiter through the link of Create External Application. Which is the table which gives this data.
And I have also seen one thing the Candidate Search brings only Internal Employee......Why does it not pick External Applicant......
The Candidate Search uses class CL_HRRCF_CEC_CENTRAL_PERSON and structure BAPIBUS1006_CENTRAL_PERSON to fetch the data....Do I need to modify any of these to fetch the external applicant in the search
Thanks
Subbu
Thanks

Hi tmusungwa,
Yes I figured that out that the candidate profile is locked after all your responses......But are you trying to tell me that I enter the Candidate number in the quick search and it will give me the result......
I am getting "Internal error" when I try to do a quick search......one available over Recruiters Dashboard......
Thanks
Subbu

Hello,
Yes I am trying to tell you that even if the candidate is locked, you are supposed to get results through the Quick Search. Please check SAP Notes 1426757. You go through it to get more related to search tips.
Internal Error means there is some problem with your search. You can check in SLG1 the reason why you are getting the inetrnal error and you may post it here also if required.
Regards,
Simplest way is to get the UNAME from the HRP5102 table and the goto table "USER_ADDR" and put the Uname into the BPNAME feild in this table. You will get all the details of the name information

HI Subbu,
No need to modify anything. It is delivered as standard. Since you are in EHP4 SP4 you should be having the POWL query.

Hi,
If you are using the portal . You should be able to find the Dashboard under the "recruiter' role.
The webdynpro application is ERC_A_WORKCENTER.

Hi ,
Whenever you create Candidate through ' Enter external application' service the status of the candidate will be '0' which is
locked status. If you try to search using "candidate search" it might not show up because search will consider only
released status .
But you can view the candidate using the POWL query "Manually Entered Applications (4) " . Use the Created by attribute in
quick search criteria to search by user who enter the application. You will see the list of candidates and when you click on the
candidate link it will take you to the candidate profile where you can edit their information . Also you can unlock their profile so that they are visible in the search. Hope this helps.

Ram

Hi Sebastian,
As I have highlighted the data is entered by the recruiter on behalf of the external candidate......Now once this is created is there a facility where in the external candidate data loaded by recruiter can be seen by the candidate itself......
Once the recruiter enters the data there is no question of release or locking the profile, since this data is not available for edit again through any screen......Correct me if I am wrong......
Now when I go Candidate search through recruiter login I am not able to find this candidate entered by the recruiter......but when I go to Administrator login I can see this candidate in delete external candidate......
Any thoughts on this......
Thanks
Subbu

You do not need to modify anything.
First of all try the quick search above the workcenter if the candidate can be found there. This search also works if a candidate did not release his profile. Do externals come up here?
If they come up, the profiles are locked for talent pool search.
Best regards
Sebastian

The candidate name is stored in the business partner object (BP) of the candidate ... not in any table
To get the business partner object of a candidate you need to navigate through the following relations in HRP1001:
Candidate (NA) >> Central Person (CP)
Central Person (CP) >> Business Partner (BP)
Then go to transaction code BP to check the name...
For the search results, you need to check if the profile of the external candidate is locked or released because I don't think it will appear in the search results if it is locked.
I hope I answered your questions...

Hello,
What Sebastian was saying was that after you create the external application, get the candidate number and try to search using "Quick Search". If the results come, it means the Candidate Search is not working because the candidate profile is locked in HRP5102. With SAP e-Recruiting all candidates who are entered using the manuall entry concept will have their status automatically locked for legal reasons. If you have the candidate's e-mail address an e-mail can be sent to the candidate so that he/she can then login, read the "Privacy Statement", then unlock his/her profile.
If the candidate is found after searching through Quick Search, clicking on the candidate name will open the candidate profile and from there you can create TRM activities, Update the candidate profile or create AT activities if you are assigned as a support team memebr for the requisitions. After this also, it will mean your TREX search is working normally.
